Basic Improv Skills
Taught by Mike Herman
Improv classes will teach you valuable communication lessons, introduce you to a new community, and bring out your inner social butterfly. By the end of this course, you'll have a solid foundation of the skills necessary to be a successful improviser, and you'll be ready to move on to our Intermediate Improv Skills course. In this course, you'll learn CONFIDENCE, BRAVERY, LISTENING, AGREEING, TEAMWORK, SUPPORT, OPEN-MINDEDNESS, CREATIVITY, OBJECT WORK, and ENVIRONMENT WORK.
This is an eight-week course. Each session lasts 2.5 hours.
The course times and dates are listed below, so put them in your calendar! The class performance will be the weekend following the final class date, and we will provide more details once the class begins.
NEW DATES COMING SOON!
As part of the course, you will have the opportunity to take the stage both in smaller groups with an experienced improviser and as a group to do a show in front of a live audience!
Once you have completed this Basic Improv Skills course, you can move on to our Intermediate Improv Skills course.
With all of our classes, if there is a week you miss, you can make it up for free by sitting in on the next instance of that session.
