Advanced Improv Skills Class Graduation Show
Advanced Improv Skills Graduation Show — “Owning the What” (with Mike Devine)
Come celebrate the next wave of talent at The Bit Theater in Aurora, Illinois (near Naperville) with our Advanced Improv Skills Graduation Show—the live performance showcase for Mike Devine’s advanced class, “Owning the What.”
This is your chance to see improvisers who’ve spent weeks sharpening the skills that make great improv feel effortless: confident choices, clear characters, strong relationships, and scenes that commit hard and pay off big. The result is a night of smart, character-driven, unscripted comedy—created right in front of you.
What is “Owning the What”?
In improv, the “what” is the reality of the scene—who you are, where you are, and what’s happening right now. In this advanced class, performers learn to own that reality with clarity and confidence, so scenes launch faster, hit harder, and stay grounded even when things get weird.
Expect a show that’s:
Bold and committed
Character-forward
Fast to find the premise
Built on strong scene work and satisfying payoffs
Completely unscripted
A perfect night out in Aurora for comedy fans
If you love live comedy, improv theater, and discovering performers on the rise, this graduation show is a great way to spend the night. It’s also a fun option for a date night near Naperville, a group outing, or anyone looking for something unique to do in the western suburbs.
Come cheer on the cast, support local performers, and watch what happens when advanced improvisers commit to the moment and own the what.
