Basic Improv Skills

Taught by Mike Devine

Mondays, July 28 – September 22 | 7:00–9:30 PM

Performance Date: TBD

In order for this class to go we need 5 students.  That is why when you sign up for the class it says the cost is $0.  Once we have the 5 students you will receive an invoice for $280.  This class has just been announced and currently has 1 student.

Looking to try something new, meet great people, and sharpen your performance skills? Whether you’re a total beginner or a performer ready to revisit the essentials, Basic Improv Skills is the perfect way to step into the world of improvisational comedy.

Over 8 weeks, you’ll explore the core building blocks of improv: agreement, listening, support, and commitment—all while discovering the magic of making something out of nothing. Taught by veteran performer and beloved teacher Mike Devine, this class offers a welcoming and high-energy environment designed to help you grow as a performer and as a person.

Each week is packed with games, scene work, and laughs as you build confidence, improve stage presence, and learn to trust your instincts. You’ll connect with your classmates, find your comedic voice, and develop skills that go far beyond the stage—great for actors, comedians, public speakers, and anyone looking to have more fun.
